The movie that everyone was waiting for since the first one came out. “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” was more than a success this weekend in the theaters. The movie made a whopping $142.8 million dollars it’s first three days. That is $2.1 million more than Summit Entertainment had predicted. That is also double what the first movie “Twilight” made. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is usually the one that is honoring the best in the industry. This time the tables were turned and the honoring was for the Hall of Fame. After 25 years I think it’s well deserved. Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder were amongst those who celebrated the hall’s 25th birthday with a concert that included all-star collaborations, spellbinding guitars and plenty of high notes. On December 11 Will and Jada Pinkett Smith will host the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway. The winner of the award will be announced on October 9, 2009. They wait until December 1oth to hand out the award in memory of the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death in 1869. The concert the following day will have guest performers such as: Wyclef Jean, Toby Keith, Donna Summer, Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi as well as Amadou & Mariam, a blues and jazz duet from Mali.
