On Sunday, September 13th MTV premiered the official movie trailer from the highly anticipated Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT during the 2009 Video Music Awards.
The poster for “This Is It” has been revealed. The poster features the King of Pop silhouette, filled in with images from the film. The concert-film documentary will have footage from the rehearsals for the 50 concerts that Michael Jackson was scheduled to at The O2 arena in London before his sudden death.
The sold out concerts were to take place between July 13, 2009 and March 6, 2010. The Jackson estate will get 90% of the profits from the movie and AEG Live, the promoters of the concerts, will get the remaining 10%. “This Is It” will be in theatres on October 28th. Tickets for the two-week presentation will go on sale in most cities beginning on Sunday, September 27th.

Rehearsals for the Michael Jackson shows are well underway and already the King of Pop is hard at work preparing his concerts with show director Kenny Ortega and contributing choreographer and dancers.
Michael Jackson has returned to the spotlight and told a crowd of screaming fans that he would play a series of London engagements at the O2 Arena — his first concerts since 2001. The King of Pop said his series of shows in July will be his “final curtain call” in the British capital.
